Paws-to-Ponder on a Looooooooong Monday: Inconsideration

This Monday feels like a Thursday.
Super duper busy and damp and my mood so dank. Office air-con not making it easy for me too - maybe he also has Monday booz.

Want to pull out this song from my previous entry to listen again.

Had this thought - the real inconsiderate people are those who think they are already being considerate, but still do stuff that are ultra inconsiderate. Inconsideration is so ingrained in their every day lives no words or actions can sway their decisions to continue with inconsiderate acts.

Wow, big-ass Inconsiderati!

Take away point from today's paws-to-ponder:
Bring up your child with manners, respect and consideration. Overlooking this in your child will cause him/her permanent (moral) brain damage and will cause you lifetime regret.

Doggie-Bag It: Bounce me the Doggie-Bag!

Bounced back today from my emo-yesterday and now feeling perkier. Two events that helped largely to pull me back into the light are what I will speak about today.

Previously I blogged on this adorable looking pair of teeth by Inhae Lee. That apparently sparked a wave of interest for Miss Lee's little creations that she decided to compile her short stories into a book!

My Milk Toof - The Adventures of Ickle and Lardee..
Is now available!

Being such a fan of Miss Lee's creations I had to GRAB a copy of course! As soon as I got wind of the book being published, I rang my secretary (let's call her 'Daisy') to arrange my flight to California so I could meet up with Miss Lee and get a copy of the book plus her autograph. I had just returned to Poserland for 2 days to tell this story.

And.. the above was the fake story.

The real story was - being a fan I successfully influenced my friends to coo-and-ahh over Ickle and Lardee. The biggest influencee was Shinn, who regularly kept herself updated with MyMilkToof issues. She spotted the ad for the book on Inhae Lee's brog and immediately reported it to me. I still remember it was past 11.50pm when I got her call (the next day was still a work-day, not weekend). Super hard-core follower. At that instant I was asked by Shinn to make a decision on whether or not I would be taking a copy.

"Yes I will" I said - for fear of Shinn's meticulous nagging that would have befallen me if I gave a response that fell short of her expectations. Shinn was seemingly satisfied with my reply for that moment and bade me goodbye so she could ring another unsuspecting soul.

My positive answer apparently didn't give me an immunity to Shinn's meticulous nagging. The next day I was made to confirm my decision first thing in the morning. Disoriented, without my coffee dose, I would have said 'Yes' to Shinn if she asked for my kidney that morning because I was way too delirious to meet head-on with Shinn's level of meticulous nagging. Fortunately she did not ask for that.

The next few moments went past in a blur that day, and the next thing I knew, Shinn completed the Amazon order and I had the softcopy invoice delivered to my inbox. Talk about efficiency.

The next 3 weeks was a gruelling wait for my precious MyMilkToof book. During this period I had to absolutely Kill time by hopping on a jet plane to Taipei and mope around the shopping malls so waiting would not have been so painful.

Now, now, now.. I have my book! Already browsed it only 500 times, back-to-front and front-to-back.

If I have convinced you, there are multiple options to buy this adorable book,
- Chronicle Books
- Amazon
- Barnes & Noble
- Borders
- Kinokuniya
- Kyobo
- Powells
- Urban Outfitters (huh?? why do they carry books.. o well.)

If you're not yet convinced, you can check out the intro vid by Inhae Lee.

Also there's the option to preview the book from Amazon, you can check out how the first few pages of the inside looks.

Disclaimer: I get no commission from this marketing pitch. I wish I did so you guys can make me rich.

And.. I'm running out of battery and need to type fast !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The next thing that cheered me today was, a little chat with Genie. Genie speak wise words make Posey humble Puppy. My brain, mind and soul are now 'get set, ready to go' mode. Thanks Genie!

Chage&Aska Emo Recommend.

Emo-ing

Had a wonderful holiday in Formosa-land and was very perky up till Sunday - until I had to return to the daily grind on Monday.

Probably feeling unadjusted from the happy times so very snappy these days.

Don't touch me, I bite!

Speaking of biting, my Kittykat Pink neighbour came over yesterday night to play. Heard from Nagalot that Pinkie and her sisters came over earlier in the day and stole a packet of Friskies party pack and joined forces to rip it apart so they can share the little treasures inside.

So during the evening Pinkie came over again and made its way to my feet and instantly plopped on my feet lying on her side. I squatted and proceeded to tickle her belly so her hind paw would kick in the air (Kittykat gangtas look very hilarious when they do that). So her hind paw pawed around several times, and then she bit me.

No damage done, fortunately, but I stood up and raised my voice at her. Then Pinkie got up then sagely walked away. No manners.

After this sweet little story I will return to emo-ing for a little bit then doze off when appropriate. I have Chage&Aska's little tunes accompanying my mental space in the meantime. You should try Chage&Aska when you are emo-ing, good stuff. Also hope I won't be coughing too badly by tomorrow.

Manners, again.

Well, attitude is really a choice.

Summarised observation on Bad Manners - Not listening is rude. Not listening plus stating aloud 'i am not listening' doesn't make a rude guy any less rude. Also, not listening plus interrupting with self-made assumptions can be grouped with the two preceding categories of ill manners.

Bad manners is like an infectious rot that decays your positivity. Each time bad manners is used, the contagion is fed and unleashed, spilling out from your heart and saturating the air. It poisons the minds of you and the people around you, diffuses into each single capillary of the body, and gradually eats away at the stoic respect and trust that resides in each heart. Slowly, there is no more respect and no more trust and the heart becomes a shell. Where there is no more trust and respect to devour, the contagion spills out of the empty heart once again and poisons the mind of yet another unsuspecting soul.. in a vicious cycle.

Bad manners is a measure of self-centredness.
Time to take a deep breath, hold your tongue and loosen your fist to let go.

Hippo Adventures

The hippopotamus with no hip laid back staring blankly into the sky as the Sunday without a spot of sun went trickling by.

"Drats." Said the hippo, "it's a little disappointing innit?"
Hippo was planning a search for this thing people called "hip", a curious thing it was indeed.
"Oh well, this has got to wait then. I'm not having my hippo toes getting soggy and cold", she scowled as she climbed slowly back to her fluffy bed.

Help Japan + Hairy Affair

Today as you wake up in bed, remember across the globe there are people with no bed to sleep in.
As you sit down with your family and have a meal together, remember there are people still searching for their family.
When you look into your fridge for something refreshing to drink, remember there are people spending hours to look for clean water.
When you turn on your air-conditioner, remember people across the globe with hardly enough to wear to keep warm in the 5 degrees outdoors.
As you dial your friends to arrange for a meetup, remember that others are having no means of communication to people they love and care for.

Please please please, please help these unfortunate souls. Act now to help those in need. Please extend your hand to the residents of the disaster struck Japan.

**************************************************************************
Over the last 2 weeks I've contemplated on my new choice of hair colour and narrowed down to 2 options.

This
Or this

So I was thinking, to do the orange colour I'd have to visit the salon to get it done coz its hard to DIY bleached long hair, and a visit to the salon should set me back a minimum of 150 bucks for my hair length.

On the other hand if I did a black colour, I could get the DIY hair colour kit at less than 20 bucks from my neighbourhood pharmacist and it would be much easier to get an even colour. Plus this matches BoA's current hair colour! Plus I need to cut down the extra expenses so I can spend more on my holiday next weekend!

Woot. And now I'm one step closer to BoA! Now to work on the clothes, my weight, the aviator shades.. and pretty much everything else (I'm still a happy clam!)

Immunity Community

With so many things happening around me these days, it's nice to know I found my direction. It's nice to know I am not alone and there are people trodding along at the same pace with me, in the same way I'm heading.

My heart feels settled, my emotion-immunity system is building up, and I think I'm ready to work on other things that mean more to me!

Thank you Thank you and Thank you!

Emo-ing

Emo-ing for the last 3 days. I think I need to take more vitamin C for Cheerfulness to pep up.

A comforting factor is that I have good companions to relieve a little of my emo mode.
Another comforting factor is that all my Asos purchases fit - albeit 1 dress and 1 skirt are on the verge of being tight-fitting. Think I'll be able to fit comfortably in these 2 pieces very soon. Still, the apparel quality is apparently commendable.
One more comforting factor is I think my calorie-count did not exceed my daily allowance today.
The last comforting factor is that there is more to life than work.

On a side note I think Jen's latest kpop vid at frmheadtotoe is really simple and pretty. Very eager to try it out, think I have the appropriate colours and materials to do it. Wonder if Pushy will object to my brows looking thick like bushy caterpillars? Nahh I exaggerate.

Still emo-ing but.. yeah give me some time to recover.

My Fascination with My Pastry

There was this small scale food fair going on at the subway station near my place, there were pushy-carts peddling snacks and small packed meals and accessories. These guys come and go throughout the year with absence of one or one plus month in-between.

I expected guests to pop by tonight so was planning the food and entertainment. It's the first time in a long while since I invited any friends. The Poser Place is always in a doggone mess! With GooeyGecko's help we managed to make PoserPlace more homely and less like a sty. I think still a lot of work to do but at least the place is clean to live in now.

On the menu for tonight - Pizza. But what about dessert? My friends like desserts so I went to explore the options from the pushy-carts. Found this cart selling cakes and the flavours - avocado and lavender/chocolate looked really, really familiar. I took a sample and realised I found the supplier which my friend D had engaged with while she was running her cafe. Snapped up a selection of avocado, lavender/chocolate and also a brownie for 10 bucks and was pleased as a puppy. The cakes they have are generally the sponge-based kind and the flavours rather unique. Each serving the size of about 18cm by 8cm. The price makes these cakes a good deal.

So I went home and googled the name of the supplier and found these details.

Because I ate up all the leftover cake I don't have pictures to show. Next time, buddy. Otherwise google pictures posted by others if you have interest, I saw some lurking.

What's up pussycat?

So I made this simple vid and added a cute song to it. I like the randomness of filming Tiger Jones, my new next door neighbour when he comes over to visit. He's not overly friendly - which I believe is a good thing - and keeps a low profile - until the Mousey Ball shows itself in the form of a ball clasped within the fists of GooeyGecko.

I was never a fan of Mousey Ball because it makes a racket when it drops to the ground. Maybe the noise, texture and colour are the key features making Tiger fall head over heels in love with it. In the last scene Tiger almost took Mousey Ball home. Thankfully not otherwise an embarrassing situation is sure to unfold. Tiger's mom and dad had never knew we let him play with Mousey Ball. It is a little strange for them to find Mousey Ball in their home one day to discover that Mousey Ball belonged to their neighbour although we got it for Tiger. See what I mean?

Anyway the vid is really simple. Still, I watched it for only about 500 times. The song is really catchy and cute so I like it. Short, sweet.

What's up pussycat?

Merrrrow!

p.s. wow very impressed with the spammer who still managed to load some spam up my tagboard despite me already activating the Human Authenticator. Reward given for impressive behaviour - I'll keep the ad up there for a bit and then delete when I feel bored from seeing it.

Positive Reinforcement

Positive reinforcement - when those little scrawny rings just don't work anymore.

In times of despair with emails shot everywhere, a little motivation goes a long way. It warms the heart, touches the soul and your mind goes on a stroll.

Share a little positive reinforcement today, don't let those overworked minds go astray. Look at their eyes and say 'You're Okay!', then pat their back and cheer 'Olay!'. You'll see their fighting spirit come back to stay, and most definitely you have made your day.

O well. The verbal one works better I guess.

Happy 9th, PP.

My Pushy is a cutie boy he sweeps me off my feet.
An icon of all happy stuffs, he's a cheery face to greet.

I loved him since nine years ago, a long time you might find.
I'm really happy doing so - we're just two of a kind.

I need no flowers or chocolates or wine, as long as I have him.
Romantic presents will still be nice! Or else some kind of bling?

It's okay if he brings them late, I'm not going to cry.
His love is the best gift of all.. (and his gift I've yet to buy..)

Tis' great and fabulously important day is almost come to pass,
But these ties of friendship, love and trust is always here to last!

Happy 9th anniversary, PP.

I am super-human

This must be true since it is what is thought of me.
This must be true since things are considered fair and normal.
This must be true since decisions I make should always be right.
This must be true since my memory should never fail me.
Also, this must be true since I should be able to do everything at the same time.

I must be super-human.

Will you be making a movie inspired by my life, then?

Everyone go to here to reach out and cheer him on!

Rabbid Ear

Gong hei gong hei everyone!
It's the first work day of the Rabbid Ear tmr and I can't bear to sleep yet because if I do tmr will approach sooner!
Plus I'm ugh having a tummy ache from that cold Pokka plum tea drink I had about 20min ago. Grr.

And now for some fun moments I had with the Rabbid theme of the lunar new year.

Yup and that's the new colour on the opposite ends of my living roomie! Loving the cheery lime green. It shows a hint of yellow under flash light.

Okie doke, that's all I want to show-and-tell tonight, need to nurse the tummy ache that's really bad now.

He Shoots but He Doesn't Load

Happy Lunar New Year folks!

It's now the beginning of the third day of the lunar new year, hope everyone is enjoying the rest, relaxation, food and family time.

Prosperous new year everyone! Good health too!

I've had a little quality time with my extended family on Day 1 of the new year too and GooeyGecko wanted to showoff his brand new $1.2k semi-SLR cam so he took lotsa pictures. The thing is, this Gecko guy brings his camera around, shoots lots of things but yet he doesn't load 'em. Also because he brings his cam with him on his late-night outings, I can't even help to load the pictures. This irks me because, I guess you should already know, I.. like.. pictures! Grr..

So an update from the last spring cleaning event. It's still on-going. Hmm yes from where I come from, we spring clean through the lunar new year holidays. This is because no one visits our place, but the main reason is we have more stuffs sitting around than motivation to pack them all up.

Nonetheless, the colour scheme is up. The minimalist concept not really well executed, simply because we have too much stuff. The stuff we have.. usually they are stuff that have lower consumption rate, for example 4 unused multiplug extensions, 6 florescent lamp bulbs, a dozen tiny bulbs used for the smaller lights, half dozen random sized bulbs that seem like they dont fit any light in the house, 2 handsaws, 3 cans of WD-40, brand new bicycle lock, thousands of disposable containers and also thousands of reusable storage containers, again thousands of recyclable bags, dozens of lighters, 6 drawers full of stationery, 4 drawers full of paper, 2 chests full of children toys, 2 fold able tables and 2 other smaller fold able tables, 2 mahjong sets.. so on so forth because I'm getting tired of listing them. And these are just the extra supplies that we don't actively use.

Family of hoarders, that's who we are.

Sigh.

And tomorrow the packing continues!
